About sqldeveloper.download

sqldeveloper.download is an independent, one-person guide to downloading and running Oracle SQL Developer — it is not affiliated with Oracle, hosts no files, and links every archive directly to Oracle’s own server.

Who runs this site

sqldeveloper.download is maintained by Sam, an independent site maintainer who has run download-guide sites for developer tools since 2026. There is no company behind it, no sponsorship from Oracle, and no advertising. You can reach the maintainer directly at [email protected] — the address is monitored.

How the download data is verified

Every fact on this site that can be checked, is checked, and dated. Specifically, for each release we: fetch Oracle’s official download page and record the published SHA-1 checksums; issue HTTP HEAD requests against download.oracle.com to measure the exact byte size of every archive; and record the date of verification (currently 2026-07-27 for version 26.2.0). The site re-checks Oracle’s page automatically and rebuilds when a new version appears — the version you see is the version Oracle serves.

Independence and trademarks

sqldeveloper.download is an independent guide and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Oracle Corporation. Oracle and SQL Developer are trademarks of Oracle Corporation. Every download link on this site points directly to Oracle’s own distribution server, download.oracle.com.

We deliberately host no installers. Every button on this site resolves to download.oracle.com, so what you get is byte-for-byte what Oracle publishes — verifiable with the checksums we list. If you prefer to get the files from Oracle directly, use the official download page; this site exists because that page is hard to find from search, changes URL between versions, and answers none of the surrounding questions (JDK versions, Apple Silicon, old releases, launcher errors).

Privacy

No cookies, no consent banners, no third-party scripts, no analytics trackers. The site sends itself a single first-party, cookieless beacon when a download button is clicked — a count, not a profile. Security researchers: see security.txt.
